Always start by taking her temperature. There are a number of things that could be wrong. If it's a high temperature, it could be pneumonia. It could also be worms, which is a number 1 killer of goats. Check her poop for worm eggs. She may be highly nutrient deficient. It would be good to get loose goat mineral out for her at all times.

I have a three week old goat that is showing strange signs. She cried loudly and seems lost. When picked up, she will turn her head to the right (kinda snuggling me) and when put down, kinda turns around in circles. I've tried reseaching, but can't seen to find anything. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

It may be that she's dealing with polio or listeriosis. You will want to give Pen G 1 cc per 10 pounds and also Fortified B Complex (1 cc per 20 pounds). You'll give this every 6 hours day and night for 7-14 days and 24 hours past the goat having symptoms. Then keep giving it once a day for 14-21 days. Then give it every other day for a week and then once a week. Start this all over if they relapse. I hope everything turned out ok with her.

@Marsha, it’s more than likely coccidiosis
